Very good overall - minor bumping to extremities, some sunfading, edge and corner wear. Some light discoloration to endpapers. Hinges cracked. Plates clean and bright. Dimensions: 290mm high x 235mm wide x 52mm deep. With 128 illustrations, 11 are in color.The book explains and illustrates as many varieties of Ming as possible. The first 12 chapters are occupied almost exclusively by the porcelain of Ching-te Chen; the next four by the porcelain and pottery made at other centers. For the convenience of the printing, all the Chinese characters have been collected together in the final chapter, to which reference is made in each case.
