Description: WHAT YOU ARE BUYING Antique American Tiger Oak SIDE BY SIDE BOWED Curved GLASS SECRETARY DESKDESCRIPTION Wonderful quarter sawn (tiger) oak curved bowed glass side by side desk. Beautiful carving on the top sections. Shell carving on the drop door. Particularly nice grain pattern on the tiger oak. Original wood shelves inside the bookcase / china portion are adjustable. Rounded front top drawer. Candle shelf on top by the beveled mirror was meant to magnify light in the room.This is an original piece not a later reproduction. It dates from about the 1900s. Nice in that it is fairly narrow so would work in an entryway.This was designed as the original home office … desk, storage, and bookcase. Although wonderful to use for a china cabinet. Height at top is about 68.25 inch with the wheels and about 1 inch less without the wheels. Length about 38 inch. Depth about 14.5 inchWonderful display and storage! Check out our other items! CONDITION It has been previously restored by a talented hobbiest. Seems like it was reglued as well as refinished. Mirror shows some fogging. Some age cracks which are not structural such as on decorative vertical stand on top shelf. Some wear on the small horizontal bowed column.
