Description: READ! Original vintage (1950s/60s era?) La Melodiosa 'Model 30' Accordion (LMM 41 120), in fair preowned condition. Tested and working w/ cosmetic wear from age. Keys and buttons function well and it sounds good. Bellows have some age spotting and discoloration in some areas of its crevices while some sides look overall clean (they can always be replaced if necessary). Straps have age wear but still function and feel generally sturdy. One metal clasp that holds closed one side of bellows has lost its underside clasp so it doesn't snap shut on that side, but the other one does clasp shut on the other side. Silver tone meal grated front plate has minor denting (see photos) and there's some visible rust/oxidation on metal strap buckles and at a few screw ends. Overall it functions well and sounds good, and it displays well. Would benefit from a thorough cleaning and possible cosmetic repair work. Has faint antique/musty odor when you open the carrying case but it's not too bad; the original set of keys is inside a small envelope at its bottom and it does securely shut with or without a key, and it can be opened using the side push-open buttons. Case shows significant cosmetic damage/wear on its exterior. Weighs almost 28 lbs. inside the case, hence the high shipping cost. Repair, restoration, replacement parts, musical instrument, historical, collectible interest. I may be able to ship it for a little less (depending on location) without its bulky case because it wouldn't be as heavy that way.
