Description: Designed by renowned artist and architect Karl Hagenauer, who took over his fathers goldsmith workshop. His style always incorporated animals in a whimsical manor. Most of their designs were beautiful functional items to be used around the house, while they also specialized in sculpture. All of their products were crafted in Vienna Austria during the Art Deco movement post WWI. Most of their designs were most popular in America, and had a huge export business for their products. This item was crafted using brass stamping, and nailed over an oak wood stained box. The design features a hunter with a bow and (what looks like) an antelope (or possible a deer). With trees as accents all around the box. The box is in good condition. The hinge lid works smoothly. A couple of the nails for the brass plates are missing, but the brass is secured tightly. Two corners are bent in slightly (as seen in pictures/video). Otherwise it is in beautiful shape for a 100 year old item! Box measures: 4-1/4" Long 3-1/2" Wide 2-1/4" Tall
