Description: This is a Plateau Indian,(probably Yakama), beaded bag from the mid 20th century. The hide is elk and in good condition except for some loss of fringe, see pics. The beads are tiny; the blue background beads are about 20 to the lineal inch. From the top of the bag to the bottom of the fringe is about 14". The strap is also beautifully beaded. The figures of flowers and butterfly are very skillfully done. See pics. Email questions.
