Vintage World War II Naval Flag Authentic WW2 "5" "Five" Me

In US Naval Morse Code this flag is a numerical flag and it means the number "5." This is such a unique, historical find! I love the pattern in this one! This flag comes from a collection of vintage United States naval flags that were found when cleaning out a mariners home in Maine. These flags belonged to him during his service! Each flag from this set will have the same backstory, but we will provide the sizes for each flag individually. Among the flags is a rear admiral flag, so we believe that was his rank within the US navy. Some of these flags are stamped with a name, year, and naval base. Some are stamped with "Mare Island" which was the first US naval base established on the Pacific ocean. According to their stamps, the flags range from about 1942-1945, so they are World War II era flags. These are so interesting to take a look at! None of them are in "perfect" condition, they were each clearly used and are well worn flags. They would look incredible hanging on the wall of a home! Each flag is an incredible find, and would be perfect as a wall hanging, or just for the right collector who would like to hold a piece of world history in their hands. Size: This flag measures approximately Length across hoist: 47 inches Width: 60 inches Condition: This textile has quite a few large holes in it, especially near the hoist! This was clearly flown. There is also a lot of staining visible on the yellow fabric of this textile. Please use the zoom feature to closely view the condition. Condition is reflected in price. This flag is in unwashed as found condition, and clearly has many years of heavy usage under its belt.
