Description: Vintage Whiting & Davis rose pattern, signed Dresden Mesh Purse. No hinge damage. Rose color is faded on one side but this is mint otherwise. Fringe is the rare "step" design - no missing links. Chain handle is braided rope type. Frame is art deco pattern matching step mesh. Closure tight and solid. Original silk lining with pocket and mirror (crazed). Size: 6 1/2" long x 4" wide. Shown on page 108 of Holiner Antique Purses. Dresden mesh is fine, baby mesh which almost feels like cloth.
