Description: Offered here is a vintage amber or brown glass bottle. One side is EMBOSSED,"SANFORD'S INK AND LIBRARY PASTE - ONE QUART." There is a large paper label on the front of the bottle. The label reads, (in part), "BLUE BLACK INK - NEVER FADES...SANFORD'S PREMIUM WRITING FLUID...WRITES A BRIGHT BLUE CHANGING TO PERFECT BLACK." In small print, it is marked, "Registered U.S. Patent Office September 1906 and July 1911." (A patent date does not always indicate when an item was made, but this is clearly VERY OLD!) The bottle has a metal rung around the top opening, but it is MISSING THE STOPPER. There is some CORROSION on the metal ring. There are no chips or cracks in the glass. The BEST part of this bottle is the condition of the paper label. It is mostly clean and the colors are bright. Look very closely on the front and you'll see a very faint drip mark running from top to bottom. (See close-up with pencil point.) This mark hard detracts from the overall appearance. There is a little dried ink residue inside the bottle. The bottle measures 9 & 1/2 inches tall. The base is 3 & 5.8 inches wide. This item is guaranteed to be old & original, or your money back.
