Featuring an embossed lid with sailor silhouette image in life buoy, it bears the small TRADE MARK NOTTINGHAM CASTLE REGISTERED stamp as shown and factory stamped revenue statement on the back - PLAYER & SONS, ENGLAND is stamped faintly on the front edge. Interior hinged lid is japanned with a wonderful repeat image of the front decoration as shown. Condition is good with minor usage marks, scuffing, scratches and wear to the exterior - interior has a few touches of surface rust to the tin metal as well - these do not bite through or detract.
