Description: This is an auction for a new old stock ("NOS") Switchcraft Model #S250, 0.206" (5.2mm) Male Cable Mount Plug. This connector is a VINTAGE commercial TS (Tip, Sleeve) Mono plug made by Switchcraft USA made with REAL phenolic/bakelite insulators, not ABS plastic!!! The conductor alloy is nickel-plated brass! Audio plugs/jacks made with this combination are not made anymore. This bakelite and nickel-plated brass is prized for its very cohesive and organic sound quality compared to modern materials containing tin and ABS plastic. This particular S250 plug is what you need for ham and amateur radio (and some aviation communication applications). Keep in mind this is a 2-conductor .206" plug. It is NOT a 1/4" (6.35mm) plug. It's the smaller diameter for special applications. Most people purchasing these are wanting to use them for their Collins S-line transmitters and station control units. If you are doing period-correct restorations of vintage gear from the 50's and 60's, this plug is what you're looking for! This inventory has never been used. None of the terminals/lugs have been soldered onto. Some even have the original old, yellow $1.30 price/model sticker from Switchcraft! While many of our plugs have this sticker, some do not (they've fallen off over the decades in storage).
