Description: For lovers of mid-century modern decor, this is a wonderful piece. One of the two fathers of cubism is Georges Braque. This piece is from a noted series of lithographs. This particular print is often called Zelos. It is signed in plate, not hand signed on print. It's a wonderfully animated line that feels like it could be one line. And yet the figurative emerges from it along with a bird. At first you think it's entirely black and white, but there are some gray elements that almost looked collaged in and fool the eye. This looks like the actual framing from way back and the matte was chosen very carefully for the color. I'm not sure if the slight smudging I am seeing at only certain angles at the upper right is on the matte or the inside of the glass. The print itself is not affected and oddly enough it's pretty much invisible from certain angles. In other words, during ordinary display it is not easy to see that at all and it does not affect the art itself. This is a nice sized piece of art at about 15x21 in (frame). The window area of the print measures approximately 8 inches by a little over 13 inches. If you love the cachet of mid-century modern decor, this is a piece that is becoming increasingly scarce and really catches the eye and sends it traveling.
