Description: HARMONY Stratotone "Mars" ChiTown Blusey Sound All Original. Great shape for 65+ year old guitar and a fixed crack by jack that is all character. I took this guitar apart and cleaned the electronics, polished the frets, dressed fret board, cleaned the body inside and out and restrung with 10/46. Looked like all original. 1959 saw the creation of the first hollow-body Stratotone models and the end of the smaller solid body versions. The new H46 featured concentric (stacked) volume and tone controls per pickup, three way switching, height adjustable bridge, and the familiar silkscreened headstock. DeArmond Hershey Bar pickups have a bold p90 sound. The 1959-63 Stratotone are the exact same guitar body and electronics, only the pickguard with "atomic" logo changed. 1959-63 Harmony H46 Stratotone "Mars" - Sunburst (made in USA) Neck Specs: -Wood: Maple -Shape: Chunky C, measuring .890 1st fret, .940 12th fret -Fretboard: Dyed maple -Frets: Slender -Scale Length: 24 1/4 -Nut: 1 3/4, bone -Tuners: Open-gear strip Waverly Body Specs: -Wood: Birch -Pickups: DeArmond "Hershey Bar" x2 -Controls: Stacked Volume x2, Tone x2 -Hardware: Rosewood bridge, trapeze tailpiece -Plastics: Single-ply pickguard (atom graphic)
