It has a holder in the center to hold a single edge blade for sharpening across a razor strap. Comes apart in 2 pieces for convenient storage. It is dated on the underside and marked PATENTED MAY 27, 1919 * PATENT NO. 1304675. MADE IN U.S.A. Also marked on the sides AUTOMATIC STROPPER.
