This lovely Art Deco pendant necklace features a vinaigrette ball pendant. The ball is guilloche sterling with purple enamel. It hangs from an old, bar link Y chain, which is embossed "STERLING GERMANY" on the washer ring that the spring ring clasp connects to. There is also an old spring ring clasp that connects to the pendant. I also added the sterling silver split ring through the top loop. When unscrewed, you will see its original old sponge, still scented with antique perfume. The band around the side is pierced to allow the scent to waft out. Vinaigrettes originated from a time when personal hygiene was not the best.
