Description: ***********This watch was given a complete overhaul in May 2021. While no paperwork will be provided my watchmaker's service marking is on the inside of the case back.*********** This vintage Aquadive 200 came from the estate of the original owner. The blue "T SWISS MADE T" signed dial is lovely and presents beautifully. The original lume, which remains fully intact and emits a quick-burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully to a light pistachio hue. The blue bezel, which rotates smoothly bidirectionally, shows honest wear. The all stainless steel case exhibits moderate wear with no visible signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "FULL STAINLESS STEEL SWISS MADE SUPER WATERRESISTANT 20 ATM INCABLOC AUTOMATIC" with "1939" followed by "2981" stamped in the center. The crystal is near flawless. The 25 jewels Swiss ETA 2783 automatic movement with quickset date function is clean and recently received its first overhaul. It is running strong, keeps accurate time and the date wheel rolls over as it should. The quickset date function works flawlessly by unscrewing the screwdown crown, pulling it out to the first position and then turning it clockwise until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an approximate 35 hour power reserve period. The crown winds smoothly with an appropriate amount of tension. The movement had never been previously serviced prior to receiving a complete overhaul in May 2021. Although no service paperwork will be provided my watchmaker's service marking is on the inside of the case back.This watch measures approximately 37 mm excluding the crown, approximately 41 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9.5 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 13 mm. This watch comes on its original unsigned bracelet (correct for this particular reference) that is much too big on my approximate 6.5 inch wrist when the clasp is on the loosest setting. It will likely comfortably accommodate up to an approximate 7 inch wrist. Although the movement received a complete overhaul in May 2021 and is currently running strong and keeping accurate time, there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time.
