Description: You are buying the genuine old school vintage lava lamp that you see in the photos. The original stickers are in place underneath the cap. This is a "century" model 100 that was manufactured in 1974!! The gold tone Starlight base and cap do have some usual scuffing and age, but no dents anywhere. The plastic base on the bottom is not cracked anywhere. The cord has no frays or kinks. The inline switch operates perfectly. Although the lamp does technically work and flow well, the liquid inside is discolored from age. Red wax, as shown. There are a few small specs of "stuff" in the wax. The coil at the bottom is in good shape. There are several resources online with instructions on how to change the liquid yourself and even how to remove the small specs in the wax, but I don't want to mess the lamp up so I left it AS IS. The glass bottle overall is in nice shape, but it does also have some scuffs and marks to the outside. The total height of this lava lamp is right around 17". Depending on how hot or cold your room is, a dimmer switch might be necessary for proper function - I am including one for you!!!
