Description: This listing is for a Vintage 1970’s Rexair Rainbow Model D2 Vacuum with a Power Nozzle. It comes with a caddy and extra canister. This is actually our family vacuum that I remember growing up with because we all called it R2D2. The D2 Models were made from 1974 to 1979. Star Wars was released in 1977. This is a Rexair Rainbow (R2) Model D2. R2-D2. Feel free to draw your own conclusions… Please see pictures for overall condition. It has been tested and works great. Made in Cadillac, Michigan, these are built like a tank. It has a few “modifications”, namely the tape repairs on two of the hose sections and the power cord base repair. One of the canisters has a large crack on the bottom and it does leak (a strip of Gorilla Tape would probably take care of it), the other canister is in good condition. Also included is the original manual. Shipping is $50. I have no idea what this will cost to ship and will probably be a real pain to box up . If shipping turns out to be way less, I will refund the difference Thanks for looking!
