Vintage 1965 Barbie SEW-FREE FASHION-FUN DAY 'N NIGHT #1723 w/Repro Purses

Description: A nearly complete Barbie Sew-Free Fashion-Fun #1723 Day 'n Night set with instructions! This set as a whole is very difficult to find, especially the original necklace, the purses (reproductions made by me in this case), the original belt, the instructions, the works! Anyway, please take a look at all of the photos and note the following details:Someone decided to sew the dress, coat, skirt, and top, while the hat has the Sew-Free construction and you can see a bit of adhesive on it. The black dress purse is homemade by me (using the original Mattel pattern) of black taffeta, a sparkly button from my late Grandmother's (she would have been 104 this year, so the button is probably at least 50 years old, possibly older) stash is the clasp, and I added some sparkly crystal accents to the flowers.The old black taffeta pieces have faded to a really deep aubergine, which looks beautiful. The black and white polka dot purse is home made by me using the original pattern.Belt is a bit stiff and curling up on edges. It is very tight on Barbie!!Oxidized metal on the original necklace clasp. Oh my goodness, the ORIGINAL NECKLACE! So hard to find and when you do, it's expensive.Earrings are safety plastic earrings (so they won't cause green ear on your doll) with red sparkly gems in them. Shoes are Japan black open toe heels in fantastic shape. They actually fit loosely on Barbie, so no danger of splitting.Instructions are in good shape, but do have yellowing of the paper, creasing, spots, etc. Unfortunately, I don't have the box. Or at least I haven't found it yet.Barbies are modeling, but are NOT included here...I love them!Smoke-free, pet-free home.Let me know if you have any questions or need more photos.
