We purchased a number of books from the children of Beilenson, including this set; he and his wife ran the Peter Pauper Press in Mount Vernon NY, as well as other smaller fine press ventures. Five volumes in slipcase, black cloth boards with red title bands, tall octavos, each volume illustrated in a different color. Books have mild rubbing and soil to boards and spines, gilt titles on bands dulled but still legible, bindings tight, texts clean and unmarked, top edges of block are orange but toning near spine head. Slipcase rubbed and worn at corners and joints, mouth of opening has mild cracks and torn paper around edges, still sturdy, however, and reparable.
