Sending money to charities was a possibility, but I wanted to participate in the actual war effort. Then it dawned on me that I could sell Ukrainian Postage stamps on EBAY, purchased directly from the Ukrainian Postal Service. The funds received would go directly to the Government of Ukraine for use as they deemed most appropriate. I will maintain a separate spreadsheet for all the Ukrainian stamps I sell and assure you that all profit will go into purchasing additional stamps from the Ukrainian Postal Service. So far, we have provided the Government of Ukraine with $10,074.55 for their effort. The assistance of my past and future customers in helping me with this effort is greatly appreciated. The following description of the "Yablonska" issue was taken directly off the Ukrposhta site: Tetyana Yablonska (1917-2005) - Ukrainian artist, People's Artist of Ukraine, academician of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine, professor and recipient of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine, Hero of Ukraine. She received her education at the Kyiv State Art Institute, Fyodor Krychevskyi's workshop. Realism, impressionism, and primitivism were reflected in Yablonska's work. Yablonska's paintings have been repeatedly recognized at the state level and at exhibitions. In particular, for the painting "Bread" (1949), she received a bronze medal at the World Art Exhibition in Brussels in 1958, for the painting "Flax" (1977), reproduced on a postage stamp, the artist was awarded the State Prize of the USSR (1979). Paintings by T. Yablonska are kept in various museum collections of Ukraine and Russia. One of the Kyiv streets is named after her. Pictures sell!
