Two DON SHIRLEY LP's -- Water Boy + DON SHIRLEY PLAYS SHOW TUNES

Description: This lot contains two 12-inch 33 rpm LP's featuring jazz pianist Don Shirley. In the order shown in the pictures, they are: Cadence # CLP-3036 - "Don Shirley Plays Show Tunes" by Don Shirley. It is mono and undated but the recording dates range from 1955 to 1957. Columbia # CL-2396 - "Water Boy" by the Don Shirley Trio. It is mono and undated but has a "two-eye" label, suggesting mid-1960's. They are both still nice and shiny, but with some visible surface scuffs and scratches. On my Audio-Technica turntable, they both play through with mostly light but still fairly constant background noise, including some occasional pops or clicks or light ticking, and, unfortunately, two or three forward jumps on the first side of "Water Boy" (no repeats). Because of variations in tracking ability, filtering technology and needle weights, I can offer no guarantees as to how well they will play on your equipment. The Columbia cover has intact seams and just typical light surface rubbing and edge wear, and it comes with a clear plastic inner sleeve. The Cadence cover is partially split at the top seam, and has some staining and ink marks on the back, and is starting to delaminate along the open edge.
