Description: Lot is for a hard to find vintage board game from 3M in their SPORTS line: THINKING MAN'S GOLF. Thinking Man's Golf is a golfing simulation which takes place on a fantasy course made up of holes from golf courses around the country. (For example; the 14th hole from the Cherry Hills Country Club in Denver and the 12th hole from the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.) Part of the 3M Sports Games line, the wrap-around box is a double sided board with the 18 holes. First you determine wind speed and direction. Then pick your club, place the range-finder on the board and roll for your shot. First you roll on the distance table then on the direction table to determine where your shot landed. Make a mark on the laminated, erasable board. When the player gets to the green they consult a separate chart which tells how many strokes it takes them to sink the putt from their distance from the hole on the green. Play then proceeds to the next hole. After playing all 18 holes the player with the best score is the winner. Game is in excellent condition and complete. All charts included, along with dice. Laminated course board is in beautiful shape. A great vintage game for hours and hours of fun, or for adding to your collectible game cabinet! See photos.
