The model on display here is a special horsehide model that was produced only once.The “AN” in AN-J-3A stands for Army-Navy and was designed to unify the equipment of the Army and Navy. In the end, however, the Army never adopted the Navy's design, and the AN-J-3A established itself as a jacket with Navy specifications. While this model has such historical background, it is a special piece of clothing made of precious horsehide material. It is in good overall condition.
