Description: An excellent collection of songs and lyrics from the days of yore. Included with this copy is an original letter written by the editor of this book, asking poet Edmund Clarence Stedman permission to use his poems in the book (there are 3 poems in the book by Stedman). When I acquired this book, I was told that this was indeed Edmund Clarence Stedman's personal copy of the book, which is why the original letter remains with the book to this day. In addition, the name plate on the inside cover bears Mr. Stedman's name.
