(first half dozen pages, including cover at bottom. marked...Cannot tell by what, but it was something hot!) Obviously well used, (it was made to be) but still in good condition, no loose or missing pages. Back page may be slightly damaged (check scan please) the Cinema Magazine was a 'rival' to Kine Weekly in the 40's and 50's. Theatre Managers could subscribe to this Quaterly Guide. Made for keeping on the desk (some Managers punched a hole in the top left to flick through it, an ill-thought out procedure, much easier on the desk top). the Guide has reviews of all the films being released during the Quarter ahead. These reviews are reprinted from the larger 'the Cinema' weekly magazine. Fascinating stuff. If you've ever read Denis Gifford's amazing book on British Film releases, (The British Film Catalogue 1888-1994) this little guide will show you just how many British made films he missed. Even the Internet Movie Database doesn't have lots of these release dates. I bought a lot of these about three years ago and haven't seen any listed since, so obviously very rare please check the scan as it forms a good part of the description. Will be posted inside plastic sleeve and hard-backed envelope, with additional stiff card, to protect from creasing, rain or other inclement weather. Postage is free in the UK.
