Description: TENARIV No.156 Matra MS80 Jackie Stewart #20 Assembled 1:43 Metal & Resin Model Originally sold in kit form or as assembled models by French manufacturer Tenariv. This dates from the mid 1980’s. It’s a highly detailed static (front wheels do not turn) model made from resin and white metal that has been professionally assembled and painted. The Ford Cosworth DFV engine, transmission and suspension are intricately detailed and painted. The French blue-painted body has Stewart’s racing number 20 and sponsor logos. It has chromed alloy racing wheels with black centres and grooved rubber tyres. It depicts the car that Jackie Stewart drove, winning the 1969 Italian Grand Prix. The race was notable in that less than a fifth of a second separated the winner from the fourth-placed driver, and is one of the closest 1–2–3–4 finishes in Formula One history. Jackie Stewart and Matra-Ford claimed the Drivers' and Manufacturers' titles respectively, with three races still remaining. The Matra MS80 was the fourth Formula One car produced by Matra (following the MS9, MS10 and MS11). The Ford Cosworth DFV-powered car (engine 3000 cc, estimated at around 420 bhp (313 kW)) took Jackie Stewart to the Formula One World Championship title in 1969.
