Description: Actually a marigold, the licorice flavored leaves are used in Mexican cuisine and as a substitute for French Tarragon. A yellow dye is obtained from the flowers and when dried and burnt as incense it drives away insects. Aztecs used this plant to treat people who had been struck by lightning. Tea is used to treat stomach pains and coughs. Numerous 3/8" edible yellow flowers. Quite attractive. Easy indoors over the winter. Plants raised fron seed can be quite variable as far as flavor is concerned - we start ours from cuttings of our own selected stock. - You will receive a plant very similar to the one pictured.- We ship by priority mail on Monday and Tuesday only to prevent plants from sitting in un-insulated mail trucks all weekend Thanks for looking!
