Description: This is an interesting vintage peice. It looks like wood, but I can tell it's ceramic as there are a few fleabites on this (which could easily be disguised with brown marker or furniture scratch covering stick). It weighs quite a bit at 6 pounds and is about 9" wide at the top and stands 8" tall. I would feel more comfortable using it for candles as it's not wood, but honestly, it's so substantial and heavy, it would be great for many things. Please feel free to ask questions. Thanks.
