Description: This is a special Leeds United 2003 - 2004 shirt signed at Lucas Radebe's testimonial by 39 players, managers and even a referee. Barring a couple of signatures (Eddie Gray and Simon Walton), these are the players who played in the game itself. (Simon Walton spent loads of time hanging around outside the ground, I recall trying to chat women up.) As a hobby, my dad went around the UK getting signed sports memorabilia at training grounds, hotels players were staying at and events (such as book/shirt signings, after dinner events etc). Our family is a Leeds United one and me, my dad, brother and brother in law went to the game. My memory is very hazy of the day, but I recall my dad wandering off before the game to get the shirt signed. He may have even got the shirt signed in the dressing rooms or at an event after game. (I have photos of my dad outside the pavillion outside Elland Road with David Wetherall and Tony Yeboah. Yeboah signed loads of stuff for my dad. This might have been at a separate event, but I can't imagine Yeboah going to many events at Elland Road around that time.) There are at least 39 signatures on this one of a kind shirt. I have listed all the names below. The numbers match the numbers I've put on the attached photos. There are a few whose signatures I don't know. I've put some notes next to some of the players for clarification. 1. Lucy Ward2. Lucas Radebe3. Ivan Campo4. Paul Butler5. Howard Wilkinson6. Simon Walton7. Gordon Strachan8. Olivier Dacourt9. ?10. Dominic Matteo11. ?12. Gary McAllister13. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink14. Sasa Ilic15. Lee Sharpe16. Eddie Gray17. Gary Kelly18. Nigel Martyn19. Ally McCoist (almost definitely – Ally part very distinctive. If you look at his signature online, the Ally part is distinctive, however the 2nd part (McCoist) seems to changes a lot)20. ?21. Eirik Bakke (can't say for 100% certain though – resembles his and looks like it's possibly crossed over with Wijhard's signature)22. Clyde Wijnhard23. Matthew Kilgallon24. Phil Masinga (I think it's just signed as “Phil”. Only one other legible signature online seems to be signed as “Phil Masinga” so I can't say for 100% that this one is Phil's)25. Vinnie Jones26. Shaun Derry27. ?28. Bruce Grobelaar29. ?30. Tony Yeboah31. Gunnar Halle32. Aaron Lennon33. David Wetherall34. Jay Jay Okocha35. Chris Kamara (almost certainly his, just don't think it's his best signature possibly due to limited space on the shirt)36. Dermot Gallagher (he was referee for the game.)37. Frazer Richardson38. Gary Speed39. Mario Melchiot (very probably, his signature changes but some have a very strong resemblance to this one) Other players and managers who were at the game include Seth Johnson, Neil Sullivan, David Batty, Kevin Blackwell, Sam Allardyce, John Carew, Juan Pablo Angel, Doctor Khumalo, Nolberto Solano & Zlatko Zahovic. 9 is a very distinctive signature. Surprised I can't match this to anyone. 11 again this is very distinctive. It might be Kevin Blackwell but I can't say for certain – there are some slight resemblances to 1 or 2 of his I've found online. 20 is yet again very distinctive, however, I can't even guess as to who's signature this is. 27 - I think this might be Seth Johnson. He usually signs his full name, but I suspect that he simply signed this as "Seth" and made the "S" and the "J" as one letter as it looks like an S and J crossed together. Might be that when he came to sign it, there was limited space so did a short version but I really can't say for certain. 29 - this signature is at the end of Bruce Grobelaar's and might even have crossed over a bit. Not 100% whose this signature is. As you can see, this is likely a very unique shirt as those players will only have been together for the 1 day. As a bonus, I'll also throw in the Lucas Radebe testimonial programme. Please check out my other listings as I have other sport memorabilia for sale, a lot of it Leeds United stuff. Because of the value, the shirt will be sent be Royal Mail 1st Class signed for. I can send this Worldwide by Royal Mail International Tracked.
