Description: This ad is for a used Shopsmith Belt Sander that is in good, working condition. The table is clean, waxed, and ready to be put into service as is also the sanding “bed.” It does include the sanding belt in the picture along with a power hub (no coupler) and the eccentric support posts (a real plus in lateral alignment). Also included is the larger adaptor for dust collection and the cover for the auxiliary spindle (used for additional sanding, such as the drum sander). It is missing one of the four (4) nut/bolt “cover/caps” as evidenced in the pics. This in no way alters the integrity or functionality of the machine. Any Shopsmith beltsander over 5-10 years of age (depending on use and maintenance) will need to have the idler drum serviced. If tracking problems surface, start there. Shopsmith recommends that you have them do idler drum servicing but there is information (tips and tricks) online that may suit your needs.
