Since it was discontinued in 2021, its unique 1x and 2x11 speed hydraulic brake DCLs have developed a cult following for their crisp Ultegra-quality shifting and braking, and compatibility with many of Shimano's newest 11s road and gravel components. The Shimano Metrea DCL's require a specific 'H-Type' handlebar that was only produced in limited quantities by just a few manufacturers.
