Description: This rare, Soviet Chaika Seagull wristwatch would be an excellent and unique addition to your vintage watch collection!!Very rare and manufactured in the 1980, at the Christopol Watch factory, the chrome over brass case measures 32.5 mm across, excluding crown and lugs, and surrounds a stunning black guilloche Art deco dial with gold hour and minute hands, raised gold numbers, gold outer chapter, and sub-second dial at the 6 o'clock position.The highly well respected 16 jewel, manual wind Soviet movement has been recently professionally oiled, serviced, and adjusted, sets and winds smoothly, is running strong, and keeping good time.It has a screw-down back and has been fitted with a supple new black, genuine leather, bund strap and stainless buckle.Please Note: All of my vintage Soviet watches are serviced and restored by professionals in The Ukraine. The factory started with the production of movement parts and stones. Gradually the full-cycle production of watches and movements was organized. In the 1980s the factory produced more than 500,000 watches per year. At the beginning of 2000 the factory started manufacturing Chaika watches in cases made of precious metals.
