Description: This is a clean New Old Stock instruction sheet and drive bushing adapter hardware kit for the Stewart-Warner Golden Meteor bicycle speedometer, which was first issued in 1948 by Stewart-Warner of Chicago. This fits the cable drive dish attachment of the Golden Meteor drive cable, for cases where a large-diameter front wheel flange would prevent the dish attachment from hooking directly to the wheel spokes. This hardware kit was used to attach a round bushing (see photo 4) to the inside face of the drive dish, and that was long enough to reach through a gap in the spokes, so that the dish could turn with the front wheel. This does not fit Huret-manufactured Schwinn Approved speedometers (usually stamped "MADE IN FRANCE" on the back), nor does it fit Huret's own brand of speedometers. This is intended for the large, round, 2½"-3" diameter speedometers from Stewart-Warner that use a clip-on drive dish attachment on the front wheel..
