Description: This vintage Imperial Glass vase will brighten any space. As a great addition to a vintage glass collection, it will hold a small bouquet, come to life as a tea light, or stand beautifully alone as an accent piece during the holidays and all year long. The vase was crafted in Imperial’s Lace Edge design, which was introduced in the 1930s and retired in the late 1970s. It features a hand applied open lace rim on a 4-toed, diamond-patterned molded body. Slight amberina undertones highlight its ruby red color, adding interest and vibrance when the glass captures the light. Carved flourishes on the toes and a cut starburst on the base complete the decoration. Standing 5 1/8” tall, the vase is 3 3/4” in diameter at the mouth and 2 1/8” wide at the base. A small but substantial piece, it weighs 10 ounces. This piece is in excellent condition. It is immaculately clean and shows no chips, cracks, scratches or stains. The color is rich and lustrous with no fading. Modest shelf ware on the bottoms of the toes (please see photo 12) is the only evidence of an estimated 50 years of prior gentle use.
