Meets all the 1st edition points with red cloth boards, gold gilt lettering on the cover and spine, gray endpapers, four pp ads in the back, and starting with Chapter One, "Summary of Events During the Master's Wanderings". The second edition (known as the Edinburgh Edition), Stevenson added a preface in which he pretended to have been given the manuscript by an acquaintance. Also has 10 full-page glossy illustrations by William Hole. The book is in good condition for its age with a little writing on the endpapers, original owner's name stamp, some light binding cracks, and light yellowing of the pages. The outside covers are a bit rougher with edge/corner damage, crack spine, chipping, and heavy scuffing. See picture and please e-mail me if you have any questions.
