Description: R.G. "Bob" Varner Salvage Dealer Many Louisiana 1943 Letter & Cover Burchfield 8.5 X 11 inches, folded three times. Staining to a couple of the fold marks.Letterhead for R.G. "Bob" Varner, Salvage Dealer in Many, Louisiana. Dated March 15, 1943. The letter is addressed to Mrs. Llewlyn (sp?) Cravath, but the ad cover (envelope) is addressed to Miss Nina Dean in Camden, Arkansas. Content regarding a legal matter in which the writer, Mrs. J. Burchfield, states: "After consulting my lawyer, I feel I must inform you that the said debt which you alleged I owed you is now null and void as a hen's nest. You are simply wasting your time and exhausting your patients (sp) trying to collect it." The remainder of the letter takes a friendly turn. Or is that sarcasm? Signed Mrs. J. Burchfield in blue ink.
