A very unique ornamental tree with even more striking fruits that set in abundance from any given part of the trunk, branches, etc. When very ripe, the flesh of the fruit is soft, juicy, and resembles sugar cane juice in flavor. They can be eaten raw, candied, dried, or juiced for sweetening drinks and other foods. The 1 year old plants I have listed are about 10 - 12" tall with multiple branching, and should be potted up to a 2-3 gallon pot upon receipt. They are hardy in US Zones 10+, but can be grown, and will fruit, in a large pot or in a greenhouse. They will begin to flower and bear fruit within 3-5 years as a bush, before developing into a smaller (10-15') multi-trunked tree. The photo of the fruiting tree is the exact source of the seeds from which these plants were grown.
