Still containing its original blue velvet interior, the 4 legged box is a classic early 20th century design. Some of the legs are bent and do not properly stand as they should, and the interior velvet can be removed by hand from the box itself. Overall, however, it remains a beautiful antique piece of silver. Please see photos for more information. Markings include: Anchor: Made In Birmingham E: Date of manufacture, 1929 The Standing Lion: Made of .925 sterling silver Note: Prior to listing this item, I spent considerable time attempting to make sure that I read the hallmarks correctly, however, because of wear, I am only 99% sure that it reads ESG & Co.
