Description: post-WWII Era US Army MP Military Police - Leather Holster Shoulder Strap Assembly - Marked: US JQMD 1948 - NICE Condition Up for sale is a post-WWII Era US Army MP Military Police Leather Holster Shoulder Strap Assembly for the Colt M1911 45acp Pistol. This shoulder strap is used, see Photo's for Condition. The leather was original russet brown, but was dyed black, in accordance with the color change order after 1952. The leather is soft and supple. Some wrinkling and surface cracks in the leather. All of the stitching is intact and not fraying. The manufacturer marking is on the front, it is marked: US JQMD 1948 w/E.N.S. inspector initials. This shoulder strap was worn over the left shoulder with the weapon attached to the belt hook grommet, with the waist belt run through the the belt loop.
