Description: Phlounder is a word game which requires manual dexterity and develops vocabulary skills. Game Play: At the start of a round, special dice are rolled to determine what type of word needs to be spelled (noun or verb) and how many letters the word must contain. All players then grab letter tiles and attempt to complete a word. The first player who does so rings the bell. Other players then try to make any word from the letters they already have. Players gain points for completing words and lose points for their unused letters. At the end of 11 rounds, the player with the highest total is the winner. Two sets of dice, adult's and children's, permits play by bell-ringers of all ages For 2 to 6 players (or teams) ages 12 years and over; a game with 5 to 6 is real fun!
