Perrelet has done something very few modern brands are able to do, one is to reinvent itself after years of being dormant and, two, create unique pieces (and movements) that cement their identity among a sea of look-alikes.The Turbine Diver boasts a chapter ring inner bezel to set the dive time against the hour hand without the risk of the "outer" bezel (traditional method aka Rolex Submariner design) involuntarily being advanced. Both crowns are screwdown and provide 100M water resistance. The "turbine" itself creates a dazzling effect and prevents the watch from ever being boring and, more literally, from losing power reserve as it winds the movement. The dial face beneath the rotor is luminescent which provides a very neat optical illusion. The second crown at the 10 o'clock marker is a screw down adjustment to set your "dive" time via a rotating chapter ring. This is our favorite method to set time mechanically, as opposed to the traditional rotating bezel. In this case, the large indice in place of "12" along with the Arabic numerals are luminescent and positively will not be accidentally jarred or advanced inadvertently.
