Description: Percy Henry Ilott (b1877) was an author of poetry and local Hertfordshire history.His published work includes Hertfordshire Stories Plays and Poems (illustrated by Anne Rochester), Songs of English Childhood and the poems The Witch and Mary Keltie Craig. His locally published "Lob's lyrics : being a few thoughts and episodes of the Bengeo Home Guard done into verse" is held by the Imperial War Museum" - the name for this book came from his house name of Lob's Woods in The Drive, Bengeo, Hertford.The Ilotts were provender millers in Hertford, and owned Ilotts Mill. His original 20th Century handwritten one act comedy play "The Elopement" Appears complete, unable to ascertain if it was ever published or performed. In exact condition shown in photographs, which are provided as best description. I always describe items to the best of my ability, but please satisfy yourself and if needs be please request more information from me to confirm anything before buying.
