Description: This pair of 10" antique Chinese Qing Dynasty shallow plates in blue and white would be a beautiful addition to any collection. The plates have their classic orange peel texture that showcases their age and historical significance. The plates are in very good condition, no cracks or chips visible upon examination. Please examine the photos closely as these serve as part of the listing description. As noted with a pen in the photo, there are areas of blemish on the backs and on the front of one plate. They appear to be paint like in nature and may have been original when the plates were finished? I do not dare try to chip them off, but perhaps a professional could remove with the appropriate solvent. One plate also has a small area of a clear film on the front approx 1.5" on the outer rim. The Fitzhugh pattern is a beautiful blue and white design that showcases traditional Chinese art and these plates are a historically significant part of export porcelain history.
