The episode co-stars Leonard Stone and Martin Wolfson and tells the story of a secret group of scientists who surgically alter one of their members in order to convince the world that an alien invasion is imminent as a means to promote world peace and unity. Robert Culp also starred in the episodes Corpus Earthling from season one and Demon with a Glass Hand from season two. Volume 2 profiles episodes 13 - 24 and features actors Martin Landau and Sally Kellerman on the cover from their roles in ‘The Bellero Shield’, episode twenty from season one which aired on February 10, 1964. The episode co-stars Chita Rivera and John Hoyt and tells the story of Richard Bellero (Landau) who heads a team of scientists experimenting with sending laser beams into outer space. Landau also starred in another 1st season episode, The Man Who Was Never Born, airing on October 28, 1963, with co-stars Shirley Knight and John Considine. Sally Kellerman also starred in The Human Factor, episode 8 from season one, which aired on November 11, 1963. The Outer Limits series ran on ABC from 1963 - 1965 and remains, along with The Twilight Zone, one of the most popular and enduring science fiction television series. Many actors and writers worked on the series, including Joseph Stefano (screenwriter for Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho) and Robert Town(screenwriter for Chinatown), William Shatner, Robert Duvall, Vera Miles, Sidney Blackmer, Donald Pleasence, David McCallum, Caroll O’Connor, Ruth Roman, and many more.
