Original 1977 Mattel Electronic Football w/ Box Insert and Instructions Nice

Description: This is for an original 1977 Mattel Electronic Football game in its original box along with the Styrofoam insert which held the game and the original instructions. This was the game that started the hand held electronic game craze and although they tried to improve on it, the original would never be topped. This is the first one that came out as the second white version of the game had a part of the box that would open up and also carried a 1977 and 1978 copyright. This one only has the 1977 copyright. A gorgeous box with just a couple of small tears on the top, you would be hard pressed to find a nicer version. As a hint to box collectors, when you open a box like this always use a butter knife to prevent tearing. Soon as you purchase this and receive it in the mail, make sure to put a battery in it and make a run down the side line. See if your thumbs can still move how they used to 40 years ago.
