It is 4 1/8" wide by 6 5/8" tall and weighs about an ounce. This handy sized record booklet could be kept in the hop growers breast pocket during hop harvest. I would date this to around 1915. It was printed by Mann & Beach, Printers, 92 Second St., Portland 11021 (probably a phone number?) Covers are made from cardstock. Inside front cover is an ad for The Pacific Mutual Life Insurance Co., of California. Next page is an ad for the Hercules hop stove and fruit dryer, made by the Portland Stove Works. The next two pages are for Drying Records. The next two pages are for Baling Records. Then there are 18 pages for Account with Hop Pickers. Next is an ad for the Beardsley McCabe Waterville Improved Hop Press, Wallace, Corcoran & North, Portland Oregon and Spokane, Wash. Next is an ad for Mann & Beach Printers, Portland OR. Next is an ad for Hotel Belveder in connection with The Louvre, Strobel and Barenstecher, Cor. Fourth and Alder Streets Portland, ORE. Next are four pages of Expense of Crop. Next ad is for Southern Pacific Co. passes through the great Oregon Hop Fields, land agent W.E. Coman, G.P.A., Portland. There is an ad on the back inside cover for a Power Spraying Outfit, Michell, Lewis & Staver Co., Portland. And lastly, on the back of the back cover is an ad for the Orient Insurance Co. of Hartford, Conn.
