Description: For sale is a Vitus Coros heat treated vanadium steel seat tube. Coros exceeded the strength and fatigue life of Reynolds 753 while being lighter. This seat tube is 28.6mm in diameter and is 650mm long. Because of its high strength the walls were drawn out to .75/.42mm. When making a frame using this tube there are a few precautions: 1. It must be lugged and silver brazed using a 56% silver rod and working very quickly. 2. Even though the tube is 650mm don't build over a 56cm frame. 3. A rider weight not to exceed 160lbs. 4. This tube takes a 27.4mm seat post. 5. Don't shorten the thick butted end. 6. This tube has a high surface hardness and can be mitered with a bi-metal hole saw or ground out with a belt sander.
