Description: I cannot ship anything ordered between 9/18/23 and 10/1/23 until after that. Communication will be off and on. This sale is for a single orphan 1987 NOS Bullseye front 48 hole hub in polished finish. Strange one here. I found an elder gent (80 y/o) that was an entrepreneur in the 1980's and bought these hubs custom from Bullseye for some kind of a special trike or something he was trying to invent. Someone beat him to market and so these stayed in the box for 40 years. As I received them, they had aluminum axles for 1/4" bolts or skewers. I had thought they were the proper axles with inserts in the ends, but I was wrong. Realizing that Bassett 3 piece hubs are identical to Bullseye, I bought 4 new axles and bolts/washers from Bassett. Unfortunately the axles were 99mm long and they really need to be about 96mm for '80s BMX. So I sent them to a machinist and had them trimmed down to 96mm (evenly on each side). As I received them they had 2 washers behind each locking collar. I pulled one washer from each side (leaving one on each side) to make this 96mm. You will receive the 2 removed washers so if you want, you can make these 99mm wide. Put the new axles in and everything is perfect. You can see I have all kinds of literature. I will price that separately later. You get one hub, with normal chromoly axle, SS hardware, and 2 extra washers. No more no less. What are you supposed to do with an orphan 48 hole front hub if you have no matching rear? Think of all those coaster brake freestyle bikes! Price is for a single orphan hub. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NhKxplg8uMhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxbcwTn9RMg Here I discuss replacing the Bullseye axles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OfusVuxsMw
