In the summer of 1945, Jake Lansky, brother of Meyer Lansky, purchased the Colonial Inn nightclub from Lou Walters, the famous club owner and father of Barbara Walters. The lavish club was located near Gulfstream Park in Hallandale, Florida, and while Jake Lansky's name was listed as the official owner, silent partners included his brother Meyer and New York mobsters Frank Costello and Joe Adonis. The closed program measures 6.25" x 9.5" and displays a vertical and horizontal crease from being folded in the past.
