Description: FROM MADEIRA WITH LOVE....! Found in an estate liquidation on the island of Madeira in Portugal, that of a family with ties to the UK. Vintage Mid-Century Modern ceramic Teapot from England, made by J&G Meakin. From their "South Seas" collection, produced to compete with other lines of multicolored dinner services produced by numerous other factories in the mid 1900s. It stands 5 1/2 inches tall and has survived free of chips, cracks or crazing in the glaze. The pot has a capacity of approximately 4 cups. I inserted a standard size playing card in some photos as a reference for size. MUCH OBLIGED
